🚀🌠SPACE CHASE🚀🌠

Today for distance learning my challenge/task was to make a chase game using scratch. We had to use scratch to create our game because of the coding that you can use. In my scratch game there was an error with the score board, the error was whenever my rover touched the star the score was supposed to give a point but it didn't so I decided to double the points. The name of my game is ¨SPACE CHASE¨ and you can play it by clicking on this link - SPACE GAME, The steps are here -> SCRATCH . Moving on to how you can control the little rover and that is pretty easy in my opinion, you just use your up, down, right and left arrow keys. Watch out for the alien distraction that follows you wherever you go. I found testing the game out and fixing the mistakes I made with the codes the part I actually enjoyed. A little note: I think it only works with Chromebooks and laptops. What I found challenging about this task were coding the timer, score and the movement of the rover, I face some more problems in this video below! I hope you enjoy SPACE CHASE!

Have you ever made a chase game using scratch?

And if you have what challenges did you come across?

  2. Kia ora Tina. I really like the way you explained your learning and the challenges you faced. Great idea to include a video so that we can see how you solved the problems you faced. This reminds me of a Scratch project I made but I didn't add points to mine. Maybe I will try. Maybe you could embed your project on your blog post so other people can play the game?

  3. Kia ora Tina! Well done on making your space chase game, it is so much fun! I agree with Phil, I like how you explained your learning process and challenges. I think it would be great if you could embed your game onto your blog too - you just need to click the copy link and copy the embed code and add that to the Html view in your blog post. Let me know how you go with that.
    Keep up the great blogging!
